What I think people don't understand is per the covenants commercial businesses have never been allowed. It has never been a “right”
The covenants were clarified by the members vote.
14 properties have just been purchased in the last 3 years with web sites and business licenses to go with them. Perhaps that is what got everyone’s attention

While I was not able to attending any discussions regarding nightly rentals, can some explain to me how to handle use by friends and family. I certainly hope that this had not been banned as well!

From the way I understand the amendment changes and how they apply, if someone leases out their home for long term and then the party leasing out the home wants to do nightly rentals, it will still fall under the CC&R's of CRP. The CC&R's apply to all owners in CRP and by extension to all tenants.

I too would like to thank everyone for a excellent job especially Mike for keeping everything under control I'm however disappointed with the wording of the amendment pertaining to the long term rental, at the meeting I brought up a scenario where a long term renter could sub-lease and as I read it there is nothing to stop this from happening and it will happen, if I'm wrong on this tell me how I'm wrong, they have nothing to lose and everything to gain by doing a sub lease and if they do it what are we to do, more lawyering, this should have been covered.

I would like to take this opportunity to commend the Board, especially Joanne Stanford for initiating this CRP blog and giving the membership a great venue to keep up to date on community happenings, information and sharing of ideas for betterment of the community as a whole. This concept is long overdue, so thank you Joanne for taking the time to initiate it.
